Welcome to the OpenSpime Developer Network!

First of all, I’d like to personally thank all the subscribed developers for your patience and understanding during this process of definition and startup of the whole OpenSpime world. I’ve been very happy to find that almost 100 of you subscribed just out of mere OpenSpime interest! In these weeks, a lot of exciting things have been happening. You may have followed them on the OpenSpime blog, otherwise you might be interested in taking a peek.

Secondly, let me draw your attention to the recent launch of OpenSpime.org, the OpenSpime protocol website where you will be able to find all the relevant documentation to get you deeply started. You may notice that the protocol has been released in its version 0.9; there’s a reason for that! We strongly believe that a protocol for an Open Internet Of Things should be open as much as possible and based on a decentralized architecture to empower the correct and widespread usage of OpenSpime-related devices. Therefore, we are hoping to receive your feedback on the current version of the protocol and its architecture, so that it can then be then finalized to version 1.0.

This is not all, there’s much more to documentation! Logged developers may have noticed in the top menu of this website a My Developer page. You can find in there resources to get you started and immediately try out a complete OpenSpime data reporting cycle on your very own machine.

Finally, let me tell you that this space is open for you. This is a multiple authors blog, where you can post your ideas, questions, software, projects, hardware solutions, concerns, or anything else related to OpenSpime, to start sharing and discussing them with the rest of the developers. If you feel like it and are not a subscribed developer yet, to access resources and become an author all you have to do is register.

Thank you for stopping by. Looking forward to reading from you.
